We have just had lunch in this restaurant that we found while walking and what a great discovery. The welcome was perfect, they were very kind. The indoor restaurant and the terrace are very pleasant. A very beautiful terrace, seen on the sea in full sun, in a quiet area. And then, the dishes arrived and the four of us came to the conclusion that it was simply delicious. The prices are really very low and the wines are 20 euros per bottle.Attached are the photos of the menuThank you for this more than perfect moment and see you soon

Seven of us had lunch at this restaurant. The service was fast and friendly, with very helpful staff. The food was good, tasty and freshly prepared. We drank the house wine, a slightly sparkling white. To eat: appetizers based on fried anchovies, tuna tartare with toasted almonds, octopus with potatoes, and mussels marinara style. We then moved on to the fish main courses: the grilled catch of the day was a very fresh fillet of sea bream, accompanied by a side dish of potatoes and trumpets. We also enjoyed a fried fish (various fried fish, squid rings and prawns) and a mixed fried calamari and prawns. All really very good. For dessert: coffee affogato, fruit salad with ice cream and lemon sorbet. Thanks, Cynthia!

Like every summer for over 40 years, a fixed stop in our Cantuccio.Once we arrived, we realized that the management and menu had changed, which initially left us a little perplexed... the new menu is à la carte yes, but once the orders arrived we were all very satisfied, very fresh fish, full portions, truly exquisite taste on the palate and clearly the price is proportionate to the quality of the dishes. We were a nice table and we all ordered different things, excellent service and courtesy, minimal waiting time... the desserts made by them, a crazy treat absolutely worth trying! We were very and I repeat very satisfied.Until next time!

Nice restaurant suggested by a friend who lives in Nice. There were only locals there besides us. That’s always a good sign. We started with the calamari. For an entree, I had the mixed grill which was very filling and cooked to perfection. We also enjoyed the tiramisu for dessert. My friend always gets the Moscardini alla Ligure and it was absolutely delicious.

Attentive and professional service, wonderfully prepared dishes. Like being at a friends house. And a surprising recommendation: the raw artichoke salad. Exceptional!

Italy, and the Northwest region in particular, is full of unknown jewels that make you want to move to Italy permanently. My husband and I are exploring different regions in Italy and France to move to for six months every year. We are aiming more towards Italy. And the reason can be explained in a lovely jewel of a restaurant in the lovely beach town of Ospedaletti. If you are lucky enough to visit the northwest region of Italy, near San Remo, do yourself a big favor and go the lovely family owned restaurant, il Cantuccio, The Nook.We chose this restaurant not only because it is outside by the sea, but because the owner came outside and took over my husband’s car, and parked perfectly in front of the restaurant. This was adorable. We say at a lovely table at 8 pm, as the restaurant was filling up. Our service was exceptional and our waiters were most attentive, starting with both parents, and both children. The family catered to our every need and wish. Both red and white wines were exceptional. The salad was fresh and crispy. But the main course was to die for. My husband had the seafood and pasta and it was divine. But my dish was beyond exceptional: My dish was speghetti, pesto, green beans and potato. Photo is below. I have eaten many dishes in Italy that were absolutely wonderful, but nothing compared to the simplicity, freshness and crispness of this dish. It was divine and I regret getting full. The desserts were also superb. All I wanted to do is spend hours at this table enjoying the cool breeze and exceptional wine. So good.Il Contuccio, thank you, thank you, thank you. Not only was your food exceptional but you made us feel a part of your family. We will definitely be back. If we were not going to a Maestro Jordi Savall festival at the Abbaye de Fontfroide next week, we would remain in Ospedaletti and eat at Il Cantuccio every night!Il Cantuccio, you all rock.Cantuccio.ristorante@libero.it
